Careers: Wellness Consultant

Description

Surveys indicate that 58% to 80% patients are interested in purchasing nutraceuticals and obtaining wellness education in their doctors’ offices.

Your role will be to market wellness products and services to health professionals who have private practices. The health professionals will be able to increase their revenue and patient retention by providing those products and services to their patients.

This is an equal opportunity, commission-based, telecommuting career. You can work either full time or part time, on your own schedule.

Responsibilities

• Obtain appropriate tools and certification training to familiarize yourself with the wellness products and services offered, and master the associated marketing techniques

• Identify potential clients; give each an overview of the products and services offered, and explain how their participation in the wellness program can benefit both them and their patients

• If required, conduct a patient survey to determine the level of demand for wellness products and services in a given practice; use the survey results to estimate the practice’s annual revenue from the program

• Work with health professionals who decide to participate in the program, providing them with administrative and other support, as needed

• Optionally, market additional business services to your clients

• Obtain testimonials and referrals from satisfied clients

• Follow through with client referrals

Qualifications

• Marketing and/or health/nutrition/wellness knowledge and experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
• Dynamic presentation skills
• Business-minded self starter and go-getter
• Able to handle rejection
• Team player, also able to work independently
• Basic computer skills (internet, email, basic Microsoft Office)
