Nutrient Overdose and Your Health

Too much of a good thing can sometimes be as bad as not enough of it.

The UL of a micronutrient is its tolerable upper intake level. Exceeding UL creates a risk of overdose, although a much higher concentration may be required to cause some of the disorders listed below.

Some micronutrients are measured in IU (International Units), others in mg (milligrams) or mcg (micrograms).
