“Conquer the Number One Killer of Americans
— Take Good Care of Your Heart”

Dear Visitor,

Heart disease has been the number one killer of both men and women in the U.S.A. for more than a hundred years now.

Many of those deaths could have been avoided
with some simple lifestyle changes!

Here are some of the steps you can take to help your heart stay healthy:

Maintain a healthy weight and waist line — excess abdominal fat is a serious risk factor for a heart attack.

Avoid foods with cholesterol and saturated fats — they contribute to plaque forming in your arteries, and may lead to atherosclerosis and, eventually, a heart attack or a stroke.

Limit your salt intake — excessive consumption of sodium contributes to hypertension (high blood pressure) and may lead to a stroke.

Avoid processed foods — they are high in sodium (which prolongs their shelf life but raises your blood pressure) and deficient in most other nutrients (that are lost while the foods are processed).

Choose fresh and whole foods (organic, if available) — they are rich in nutrients and help you maintain healthy weight and overall health, including heart health.

Avoid both first- and second-hand smoke — even small amounts of nicotine can promote hardening of arteries (atherosclerosis), which may lead to a heart attack or a stroke.

Limit alcohol consumption to one glass per day — depending on whom you ask, moderate alcohol consumption may or may not benefit your health, including your heart. On the other hand, researchers and clinicians tend to agree that excessive drinking (more than two alcoholic drinks per day) can interfere with the absorption of nutrients, contribute to high blood pressure, lead to depression and/or aggression, and cause many other physical, mental and emotional health issues, not to mention possible social ramifications.

Work with your doctor to monitor your heart health — particularly if you have family or personal history of cardiovascular disease, or any other risk factors.

Under your doctor’s supervision, start a cardiovascular health supplementation program, such as Heart Health System — these supplements help control your blood pressure, cholesterol and triglyceride levels, thus making your heart healthier.

To your health!
